De bestaande (rechts)bescherming en het voorstel voor een nieuwe Wet Bescherming Klokkenluiders schieten ernstig tekort omdat er te weinig oog is voor de specifieke dynamiek in klokkenluiderszaken en omdat er een structureel gebrek aan effectieve conflicthantering bestaat. De huidige focus op procedures drijft betrokkenen onnodig uit elkaar. Klokkenluiders hebben tastbare en doortastende ondersteuning nodig om een melding constructief bespreekbaar te maken.

Biden-administratie publiceert Anti-corruptie memo

Halverwege de speciale sessie over corruptie van de United Nations General Assembly, die plaatsvond tussen 2 en 4 juni in New York, heeft de president van de VS Biden het inmiddels zogenaamde anti-corruptie memo” gepubliceerd. Het gaat om het Memorandum on Establishing the Fight Against Corruption as a Core United States National Security Interest, waarin de aanpak van corruptie als kernpunt van de nationale veiligheid van de Verenigde Staten wordt benoemd.

France’s Anti-Corruption Strategy in Its Cooperation Action 2021-2030

Various French institutions have worked together in drafting a strategy that provides a framework for joint action and a working method for all the French cooperation actors. The strategy addresses the need to ensure that no assistance provided by France to partner countries can be used to fuel corruption, as well as the need to support the fight against corruption in France’s partner countries. It covers all aspects of combating corruption, including prevention. It provides a framework of reference for the identification, implementation and monitoring of all international cooperation activities developed by French actors.
